Queers in Property is heading to Melbourne Build Expo 2026.

Melbourne Build Expo is Australia’s leading construction and built environment event, bringing together thousands of industry professionals across two days at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

On 25 November, QIP will lead a panel as part of the Conference’s Diversity and Inclusion Summit titled Building Belonging: How Construction Can Better Support LGBTQIA+ Colleagues?

This year, QIP has been interrogating the data and the real stories of LGBTQIA+ underrepresentation in property and construction, and bringing them into the rooms that matter. The data is there. The stories are real. So what does the next step towards meaningful LGBTQIA+ inclusion actually look like?

Hosted by QIP Committee Member Fraser McNally (he/him) alongside industry leaders from across the construction sector, this session asks what it takes to change that, and what role leadership, allyship and organisational culture play in building a more inclusive, future-ready workforce.

And we’re not done yet. On 26 November, QIP will be co-hosting an official Networking Session at the Expo’s Networking Hub. Free to attend, come and meet the QIP team and community and keep the conversation going.
