Join Queers in Property for our latest QHouse – an after-hours look at Local: Kensington, one of the newest additions to Local’s growing Melbourne Build-to-Rent portfolio.

A safe place to call home matters to everyone, but for the LGBTQIA+ community, it hasn’t always been a given. Which is why we’re excited to showcase Local: Kensington, built around community, safety and belonging, with shared lounges, co-working, a full gym and gathering spaces designed to bring people together.

The Evening

We’ll base ourselves at nearby Nubilum Distillery, living like locals, while the Local team runs small-group tours through the building – a look at the design thinking and the choices that shape how a place actually feels to live in

Then back to the distillery for drinks, bites and the bit we love most: time together as a queermunity. This event is for LGBTQIA+ members, friends and supporting allies – everyone’s welcome.

Getting there

Yes, we’re in the burbs, but closer than you’d think! Macaulay is just three stops from Flinders Street on the Upfield line, roughly a 10-minute ride, with a short stroll to both the building and the distillery from there. Best to hop on the train – and we’ll make it worth the trip 😉
