Being openly LGBTQIA+ at work shouldn’t be an act of courage, but for many in property, construction, and design, it still is.

Pride networks, Diversity & Inclusion Committees and Employee Resource Groups are one of the most effective tools we have for changing that. But building one, growing one, and keeping it alive takes more than good intentions.

That’s exactly what we’re here to talk about.

Queers in Property is proud to partner with our National Sponsor Urbis to host an evening of panel discussions and networking dedicated to the engagement and growth of workplace pride networks and Employee Resource Groups, across Eora/Sydney and Naarm/Melbourne  this May.

As a champion of LGBTQIA+ inclusion in the property industry, Urbis has been an integral part of the QIP community. Through their own internal pride network U-Pride, they know firsthand what it takes to build something meaningful, and this national event partnership is a reflection of what’s possible when organisations put genuine allyship into action.

Both panels bring together industry voices with real experience building and championing LGBTQIA+ inclusion within their organisations. They’ll be sharing what’s worked, what hasn’t, and what it actually takes to create workplaces where queer people can show up fully. Drinks and nibbles provided, with plenty of time to connect with the QIP community before and after.
