Our Naarm/Melbourne Committee wrapped up 2025 with a jolly celebration that brought our community together to mark a year of connection, visibility and progress.

Hosted at Edwards.S, a queer-owned event space in Prahran, and sponsored by Lemon Baxter and Quantum Traffic, the night featured local drag royalty Tilly Capulet, whose spin on Mariah moments and Chicago the musical classics set the tone for a joyful end-of-year gathering, with DJ ENN on decks.

Our Co-Chairs Adriano and Leo shared some highlights from a huge year for the Naarm/Melbourne Committee:

• Welcomed eleven new committee members, bringing new perspectives and diverse leadership, industry knowledge and lived queer experience
• Hosted seven events across the year, including QConnects over coffee, a QHouse tour at the award-winning 1 Hotel Melbourne, and held the final panel in the Queering Urbanism series: Cities and Public Spaces hosted by ClarkeHopkinsClarke
• Welcomed familiar and new faces with 811 event tickets sold in 2025
• Raised $275,000 for the Avalon Centre’s Homes for the Homeless program through Property Unites 2025 fundraiser in partnership with Women in Property and Men in Property
• QIP featured in industry editorials including the PIA Planning News Magazine and VPELA Revue
• Launched our refreshed QIP brand by Studio White Noise, and new website by Efront, expanding our digital platform for queer storytelling and accessible resources.
